About a year ago i borrowed "We Want Miles", an live recording from 1981 with Miles Davis. At that time I had a pair of SR60's and I found the bass to be too loud/annoying. When I got my HD600's I tried to listen to it again and found it to be listenable. The bass isn't overdone but the overall quality is rather crappy and sometimes the sound distorts a lot... Anyway, here's what I like about it:
The music
It is simply amazing. Miles plays a rather simple theme called "Jean-Pierre". I kind of sounds like childrens music, but then he starts to improvise and the rest of the band starts to show it's potential. From that point it just gets better and better. If you don't listen to that much jazz you might need to get used to the sound, but when you do, you'll simply love it!
