Just got my ATH-AD400, and they are awesome

After my whole life of using sony earbuds, and the buds that came with my iriver. i have finaly got some decent headphones.

the AD400 are really comfortable, and everything just sounds all balanced and nice. they also look awesome.

i dont know what else to say, lol.

I recently bought a pair myself and I also love them. They can be powered by weak sources like a minidisc player and still sound great. I've spent time with a lot of different headphones in my time and these are really up there for value/performance. I'd say that if you're looking for a fun pair of cans with a Gradoesque sound, this is the one you're looking for.

The first step in upgrade always makes the biggest difference (esp. when you're moving from sony earbuds). Hope you'll remain satisfied!

i've been burning them in with my brothers rap for about 2hrs now, and i can already hear a differnce. theres alot more bass extension

AD 400 is a nice headphone,

except its made in taiwan instead of japan...
