Currently situated in NZ where availablity of particular computer compoenents are pretty poor. As you might have guessed the E-MU range is no where to be seen so I was hoping to get some buyers advice of where I should purchase one from across the board.

But firstly however, I intend to connect either the 0404 or 1212 to my Perreaux SHX1 amp, along with my HD595's. I listening to mainly rap and hip hop, however I do listen to the occassional techno/trance, soft stuff (such as Norah Jones or UB40) and was wondering which soundcard would be best suited for my preference. I am probabaly leaning more towards the 0404 since it's cheaper (and sounds more dynamic) however are there any benefits I would gain from the 1212 in my situation?

Also as said above, where in USA could I get a good deal on either of the 2? I am not familiar with American based sites, and was wondering if someone could point out some good ones that ship internationally.

And you will be pleased. It's a very good card for just about anything you care to do or listen to with it.
