Try "Little Earthquakes"

Definately a well recorded album and good stuff too on it

If you like that, then you should like the album it's on, namely "Little Earthquakes". Definitely get that one first, it's my favorite of hers. "Boys for Pele" is also good, and I also really like "The Choirgirl Hotel", though the style on that one is a little different.

Yes! Hounds of Love is Tori Amos squared. Kate Bush should get royalties from every Tori CD that has come out. BTW: After some troubled time off, Kate is coming back in a year or so with her first album in nearly 10 years.

I go back and forth on Tori, but I have all but her first two albums. Sometimes that weird breathy-ness and her weird inflections are too much.

She also professes to speak to fairies elves and unicorns. She's nuts, if that matters.

A girl at school let me borrow To Venus & Back, it's kick ass, I'm gonna buy it. However, I heard Piano Lessons and it was total ****.

Any recommendations on more of her albums for me?

I just wanted to quote this out of context. I would like to go back and forth on Tori... Quote:

So true. When interviewed, she sounds like she's only saying every other sentence that goes through her head. Gotta love that in a woman.

i am a BIG BIG fan of Tori. "little earthquake" is my fav record of hers but i like them all. infact, Tori's little earthquakes, sonic youth's dirty and kurt were responsible for getting me interested into music. (and yeah.. gnr, aerosmith and belinda carlisle.. but i wouldnt admit that in public)

My girlfriend lent me an album by Jewel (Pieces of You) and I was amazed by how much the first couple of tracks sounded like Tori Amos... has anyone else compared these two? I really like that Jewel album, and it's available on vinyl, woohoo! Gonna be my next purchase, I think.

What do people think of Tori's new one , Strange Little Girls? have to say i was a bit disappointed. Boys for Pele is my fav, but hey are all quite good.

Some of the more downbeat PJ Harvey songs have a similar sound too.

i like strange little girls a lot more than venus to back.. i was so happy to see her do a solo concert. so happy in fact that i went to three separate shows.

enjoy the silence is just too perfect on that album. i definitely like boys for pele the best, but i waver between that and under the pink. under the pink is awesome, and not many people know that trent reznor is doing backup vocals on "past the mission". anyway.. buy them all! they all rule!
