Thank you for taking your time to review YULONG DA1. We are flattered and speechless.
YULONG will debut DA1 at CanJam SoCal 2021. Look for booth D1 which is right opposite to Meze Audio (A6-A7) and The Source AV (B2-B3)
Awesome review, the comparison against some of the other popular and well known amps and DAC’s were very informative. Seems like the DA-1is worthy of a listen and ownership
Yulong seems to maintain it's tradition of excellent value and quality of sound. Got the Aquila with the AK chips and the DA1 seems to replicate it's older brother.
Easily beat out my Chord and Bifrost MB setup and your comments regarding the Chord warmth are spot on. Tested on a set of Martin Logans.
@Whitigir Which part is confusing? I'd be glad to clear it up.
@Reactcore I no longer own any Questyle gear. Never heard their latest all-in-one models, but the dedicated CAS192D DAC plus a CMA800R amp would be roughly on the par with the DA1 by itself (different tonal focus though, a bit lighter and faster). But add the Power Station and DA1 hits another level altogether.
@LeMoviedave Indeed, not cheap but lots of bang for the buck here.
@gikigill I still think the Aquilla II is among my favorites in the sub-$1k bracket. Agree to disagree about the DA1 headphone out though. Fully balanced, discrete, Class A, 5 watts per channel... it's far beyond the headphone sections from Mytek, Benchmark, RME, etc.
