Stellar review, being complete, detailed and spot-on. Congratulations!

After some time with the Pistons I find your review to coincide with my thoughts entirely. They seem a special value to become an all around IEM, you can lug around daily. Maybe the magic is that they don't offend much, they fit in without discomfort and have no blaring sound flaws.

I look forward to your review on the Piston 4.

I do have similar feeling about the 3.0 as you (and apparently others).  They're a really good bargain with an enjoyable sound.  I've likened the tonality (not technicality.. no and no on that one) to the IE800's sloppy kid brother with less extension.  If you've got a pair, or like to tip roll, the JVC spiral dot tips cleaned things up a bit and are worth the extra cash... still comes in at $30 to $45 depending on your source for the spiral dots and well worth it IMHO over the included tips and foams.

Finally a pistons 3 review! Been searching for a review before I bought a hzsound hz2m but I will be buying the 3. My pistons 2 has died and I have another white Piztons 2 until my hz2m arrives.
I'm pretty hyped this month looking at fidues too.

The issue with the 2.1 (yes my gold one came with a clip) was that the bass was strong I loved it but it was too sparkly and harsh on the mid treble. Strange but the driver was full of crud. Maybe it's actually a 2.0 as my new Piztons 2.0 has a guard now

Using a wide inner diameter tip improves its sound characteristics that said
