Nice review. Very interesting indeed. If it sounds the same as the Clip+ I probably wouldn't give it 4 tars lol. 

Well, first, I would say that many differences that people hear between different DAPs likely come down to them doing sighted instead of blind tests. Note that I heard differences, they were then indistinguishable during blind testing. But that's before turning on signal processing. That made a huge difference, and the ZX1 was then miles ahead of the Clip. 

I like this kind of down to earth review , people here often overly imagine when they concentratedly sit in a quite room to compare GOOD DAPs , most of differences heard then won't be much noticeable in normal listening which is what most ppl do anyway .
But I also hate those ignorant reviews where the reasons they give 1 star for an item , particularly here ZX1 , is because the touch screen is not f@cking as sensitive as their f@cking i****s , other reasons are because they are too stupid to operate a non-apple device. I totally get it if they gave it a 3/5 or 2,5/5 for feeling so irritated by those minor issues , but giving it a 1 ? F@cking moron !

Thx for the review, its really a nice review. I happen to get my ears on it from my brother who bought it few days ago~~ VERY expensive, Very good UI and SQ but never a smooth sound from me, Sony signature sound always have the aggressive and the sony software "Media Go" is not friendly as it is. Do you notice that the Media Go newest version can't create playlist for the device and can't move playlist from Media Go to the device?

Great review. Have you tried viper for android which gives great extra signal processing options?
