While I do understand RHA tuning it to be a bass heavy IEM by default (that's their target audience if I'm not mistaken), the mention of 'reference filter' does paint a different picture. Maybe they should have just called it 'default'.
Thankfully RHA have aesthetics/build down pat and only need to rework the sound. Or it could be another tweaked IEM that could co-exist with the T10.
I tried - but brief experiments with the port didn't really seem to do too much. It's a pity because there is a very good midrange hiding in there. You just need to coax it out.
I am next on the tour circuit to get Shotgunshane's T10i. I almost bought these outright, but luckily there is a tour and I can try them first. I have similar tastes to you so your review was very insightful and it seems to be mirrored by other users. We'll see how well they sell in the Apple and Amazon stores. If they become incredibly successful then we might see another model for those of us with more neutral tastes and the T10i will serve another group.

PS: Does covering the port/vent tighten the bass?
