Thanks for review, great to know MrZ has making wonderful IEMs and earbuds! I'm waiting for my Tomahawk's and by your review the signature more "euphonic" will fit well with my preferences over Ting. If I remember the last time I checked your Tomahawk review you had given "9" in Mids, your opinion changed after some time with them?

@rggz, Awesome to hear you are getting the Tomahawk, it is a superb earbud.  You are correct about my ratings as well, I did a reassessment of my numbers and realized that I over exaggerated a bit with the Tomahawk.  I have updated my ratings on both reviews.

Hmm, the Tomahawks I ordered less than a week ago have barely left China, and now I find myself ordering some red Things. I have not been this exited since I ordered my first Monks. Great review. Thanks!

Thank you for this review! I was considering to buy ting instead of tomahawk. Since I use it only on my phone I will buy tomahawk (and Rock Zircon, and...)

is this better than the monk?

@pinoyman, The Monk and the Ting are in two completely different weight classes.  Price alone the Ting costs about 10 times more.  The Monk is one of the best budget earbuds and the Ting is one of the best higher end earbuds.

ordered them as it was on sale and the spec looks good, then only happen to come across your review, i owned a pair of TK12 so im putting my hopes high for another MusicMaker product! btw what kind of drivers that Ting carry? cant seem to find the fact anywhere even AE..

@Akmola Lola , let me know how they are! Ting is a bit over my budget right now considering my recent purchases but want to see about the Tomahawk. I love the MM product line so far so I have high hopes for these, esp after this review. The Monk is pretty good but not as good many people hyped it to be. For $5 though and an actually good ear bud I can't complain but want to hear more now

@Lurk650 , 1st of all the built is very exquisite, fully metal top and bottom, cable quality, splitter and jack are all similar to TK12, for the sound, ive never heard earbuds this good before, in fact im really surprised the bass sounded really punchy and deep.. of course it wont be as deep as iem but its pretty close, i dont even need to pump the volume really loud (as normally youd do with earbud due to bad isolation).. highs and mids are crisps, detailed and clarity.. but as per the review, its said that tomahawk are better in term of bass compared to Ting, imo Ting are pretty good already.. thus im getting Tomahawk soon.. i would highly reccomend Ting but i tried using it in a mall yesterday, and quickly switched to TK12.. its doesnt block outside noise at all, but most earbuds didnt anyway.. but in a room, its phenomenal

@Akmola Lola Saw in the Tomahawk comment section that there is a Tomahawk IEM for $55 compared to the bud for $35. I wonder how it fares

Great review. Have you gotten a chance to compare these to the Auglamour RX-1?
