Thanks! I haven't heard that particular Topping but I'm not generally a big fan of theirs. Most of it is okay, clean sounding and technically capable but also lacking in emotion, tonal richness, and overall convincing timbre. I'm sure in some systems it makes a good choice though. Personally I'd rather run the X-Sabre 3 in ASYNC mode to get a similar (but still more appealing) presentation.
I think Arthur still has that X-Streamer, if I am not mistaken. I remember back when the X-Sabre Pro was in development. I swear, it had to have been the better part of a year between when I was told it would be done, and when I actually got my hands on it for review. They kept going back to the drawing board.
