Thanks for your review Mark (I enjoy reading your thoughts).  I too purchased a pair but have not had a chance to listen to them.  How does the sound signature of the HE350 compare to the RE-400 (I am looking for some reference from headphones that I have that might give me some idea what to expect)?

oh, well in IEM terms the closest sound sig would be the RE-272.  think bright.  the RE-0 in comparison was warm never mind the further warmed RE-400.  if you wish more elaboration if you would pleas ask in the full review thread as its much better suited than thi comments here.

I had read your review, but I was looking for some other reference point to accentuate what you wrote (sometimes reading about someone's description of a sound signature and having a personal, experiential reference for that signature can be very different).  You gave me what I was looking for  - thanks!

I read these reviews with keen interest as I recently received my he350's from Massdrop but life getting in the way has kept me breaking them out and giving them a good listen.  I needed to know if the 100 dollars was well spent or throw in the proverbial trash heap of Technolgy.  This thread was not too keen on them, where others found them to be a good value...  If nothing else I am slowly getting an education on what makes good HeadFi...  -TinkerToyTech
