Good review, roughly in line with how I hear them - albeit too these ears the bass is not that overwhelming.  
 
A couple of notes/clarifications:
 - these can be bought for around 9-12$ on certain websites (free international shipping)
 - given the weight and the feel, I'm pretty sure neither the body nor the nozzles are made out of aluminium but a heavier/harder alloy

It's a steal at its price (I paid only 8,5 USD) . A cheap gateway to the audiophile iem arena. A solid housing. Good cable. Good quality jack. Only missing thing is the chin slider... This is the second iem that really surprised me below 30 USD range. I use bronze filters and bass is not an issue for me. Sounds very linear with this filter. V shaped with gold filters. Very holographic sounding iem. 

Yay! More KZ exposure. Great review. They are pretty shockingly good for the price. You guys need to check out the HDS1 though. They up the ante on the ED9 pretty clearly, which is insane given how good the ED9 already is.
