I must agree. This cable nonsense is quite upsetting. I believe you are quite on point in that not only does the fact the product breaks rile people up, but it's even as, if not more, upsetting that HiFiMan doesn't feel a need to acknowledge that there is a problem at all.

I wish the problems with the RS-600 didn't exist. I've even thought of buying another pair and putting money aside to have them re-cabled when they (inevitably) break. But that seems a little crazy.

The RE-600V2 will be out soon in the US. It has a new cable that is more reliable. I would expect this posted on the site when it drops for the US but should be expected in the near future
