It is a shame that this doesn't come close to rivalling their Sony equivalents (A45, A55, A306) in battery life. 20 hours is decent but I think these types of player should be at least 30 hours, especially if you only use it for local playback on wired headphones with no bluetooth and wifi turned off.

The A45, A55 and A306 take 4 hours to charge, yet you only get an extra 1/3 more battery life? The R3 II only requires 2 hours charge time. The A306 is in a whole different price point and is not comparable in the first place?
