Good writing...your comments on timing are very meaningful as most audiophile reviews on any piece of equipment seems to avoid or ignore this important topic...can you tell what iems or headphones you used the most during the review? 

@peareye Thanks, the main IEM used were Etymotic ER4S and Dunu DN-1000 hybrid.

Noobish question - what is "black/very dark background"? I guess it has nothing to do with dark sound signature, right?

@PsiCore A dark background is the space usually behind your instruments, it's most noticeable on center channel behind the samples, you almost can feel this ''sensation'  behind the music. The darker a background the more vivid your samples will image, think of it like a black back drop or a dark curtain behind a stage. It is not related to dark sound signatures, more the atmosphere behind your music. A player with hiss will instantly detract from a black background.
