Cheers A, great write up. I also would love to hear how the Gaea and Pilgrim compare, so I'm looking forward to anyone sharing A/B side by side thoughts. Whilst I don't hate metal shells, I really also prefer the looks of the resin shells and colouring options for these brands. As you say, it's a cool way to get a taste of the house tuning for a much lower outlay.
The diva was much better for me than the Gaea. The bass switch on max just gives much better rumble and slam, making the Gaea feel bass lite. Can’t comment on the pilgrim, but probably just get the diva if you’re considering those 3 options

Have you any experience of the sound signature of the Moondrop S8, when compared to Gaea? I don't think Diva 23 is quite in my budget tbh.
I haven’t, but based on reviews and the sound signature of the s8, I’d probably go Gaea. Gaea really is great and I didn’t have a problem with the upper mids and treble. You can find them used around $700. I just have other kilobuck iems that I liked better

Thank u Sir, it's hard to blind buy isn't it. Opinions matter, seems best to tap into the wealth of knowledge that people have. I've added a question amongst Gaea reviews too, so I'll see where it all goes.
Alright, everyone, I could take some time listening to the GAEA and Pilgrim and share my impressions here if you're interested.
If you're thinking about choosing between the DIVA and the GAEA, let me tell you, the DIVA is the truly impressive no question about it! It's one of those IEMs that really make me understand why so many of my headphones are just gathering dust on the shelf, and I mean that in the best way possible!
There was a lot of talk when announced that this would be a flagship level sound as a bit of a middle finger to the crazy prices these days. It's certainly possible that the circle I heard that talk from was small.
I'm sure it's a great IEM and I'll probably buy it.
@vikinguy Ah, I see what you mean. Perhaps they meant it has a flagship-level tuning because it shares some tuning similarities with their flagship IEMs. I can definitely see the similarity here.
@vikinguy i mean this IEM has great extension to both ends, which usually exists only on kilobuck and up IEM. This extension makes it sound “expensive” if it makes any sense to you.
