Are they ear piercingly bright or fatiguing if the red filters are used?

@seanweeI think that will depend on your preferred music genres and volume levels. Its not painfully bright providing you keep the volume to a suitable level using the red filters. You will just know because the treble will tell to back off before any other area. 

I love the design of these, making them a great on the go IEM & from your review I get the sense that their also comfy & have a few flavours you can pick from..I listen to music at low to moderate levels, so this looks like a winner to me.
Very good review, with awesome photo's that really give me the complete picture on what these are all about.
