Excellent review. How do you think it compares to the existing pure Planar IEMs on the market? Like S12 and Timeless?

@jmwant Talos to me is more refined than any other Planar IEMs now even against S12 or Timeless. And considering how versatile Talos is, the edge is on Talos side

Your review makes me eager for Talos now. At this rate, I might just buy one for myself rather than waiting for review unit or demo unit from store

Very intriguing stuff. I heard Timmy from Gizaudio wasn't too impressed with the Talos, especially not with Hybrid mode on even though he is a treblehead.

Considering this is a 3 driver setup, I was wondering about the imaging performance in Hybrid mode? Is there a significant improvement?

@Bitsir as noted in my review, Talos in Hybrid mode with with all three drivers engaged, will offer great upper frequency resolution which practically enhance imaging as well. The execution of details imaging is among the best I have heard in this price range

@NymPHONOmaniac I am NOT a Treblehead. I am a Diffused Field Neutral junkie since 2006. As mentioned many times in my reviews, lol

mine arrived today and I'm really enjoying them, great tuning, highs, mids I just thought it could have a little more bass especially in the low mids but this is correctable using an equalizer through an Amp, for me Talos is even better than the 7hz Timeless and fix the unbearable and harsh highs ,one thing i don't liked is the hibrid mode ,very fun to listen Metal \,,/

@marcos antônio Totally, with Metal in Planar mode, Talos speed and resolution made Slayer "Reign in Blood" and Burzum "Filosofem" sounded Hi-Fi haha. Loving it

really agree with you! the texture of the guitars are amazing, the separation too and I didn't find the bass weak as some reviews are saying around, I managed to adjust it with an equalizer using my fiio btr 7 and it turned out wonderfully, but it could have a little more mass and depth in the bass and for me it would sound perfect, I had the Hook x but I don't remember very well to compare the advantages and disadvantages, but I'm satisfied with it, I just hated the hybrid mode, for me it was a waste, they could have put a bass boost that it would be great. Which in your opinion was better to listen to metal, Talos or Tangzu?

@marcos antônio For a bit more bass density and weight, you can consider either Zetian Wu or LETSHUOER Z12. If you want a bit more of Dynamic Driver bass responses then LETSHUOER D13. They all works great with Metal
