Both relatively balanced but DT880 has brighter upper mid range and treble, while the Dunu is almost recessed in this areas comparatively. So basically the Beyer is a lot more etched and brighter.
Great review!
... If you only owned some Sony hybrids for comparison as well >.<
I personally have a thing against iems without detachable cables, as 90% of my iems have failed due to a problem with the cable. Are you 100% sure the cable won't break, especially after some wear and tear?
Is there any chance you could compare them with the EX1000 or MDR-7550 as well? Thanks!
Sorry Uber - the only Sony I owned (for a short period) was the XBA4. Unlike a lot of people, I actually quite liked it - but the fit was never going to be that comfortable long term. And I don't have the MDR-7550 or EX1000 (haven't had the pleasure of trying either). All the gear I have, or have tried, is in my profile. Hard to comment on the cable - as it will be dependent on how you treat your gear. I've never had issues with any of Dunu's cables though. Pretty sure they use kevlar as well - so should be strong enough.
The Jlab J4s I had were supposed to be super rugged and also used Kevlar in their cable. Guess how long it lasted before the cable developed a problem. Hint - Not too long.
Uber - I can't comment on the J4s as I haven't used them - but I have used the DN-1000 for well over a year, and I have experience with Shures kevlar reinforced cables. Both are pretty solid. Again depends on how destructive you are with your gear. I tend to be very careful with mine - so cable breakage not an issue.
BaTou069 - no, unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of listening to the 846. Came very close to buying one - but then decided to jump on the Adel U6 kickstarter instead.
