This is very different to DN1k mate, if you read the review I made reference/comparison to DN1k as much as I could throughout
(BTW - you are the first person I know that don't actually like DN1k)
great review, djvkool, thanks! I owned the DN1k and loved the sound, the sturdy built. But the main issue with the DN1k is that the noozle is pretty wide which can cause discomfort or insufficient seal with listeners that have a narrow ear duct. Its a pitty that this great piece of sound engineering for an awesome prive and with great accessoires does not address ergonomics a bit more.
Slashfury99 - Not this one for sure mate, I agreed that coherency between drivers existed on the earlier models of hybrids, but as they evolve, they almost don't exist anymore
cyph3r - unfortunately mate, this has the same nozzle size, I have a large and deep canal so I have no problem with it whatsoever, have you try smaller size tips? or maybe a longer tips such as MEElec's dual flange, and just fit it shallow?
mochill - because I was pressed for time to do review (and the fact that I have to pass it onto the next person), I let it ran for 1 full day, then I started listening, while keep letting it run during the day when I am at work, though I must say that I'm not really a believer in burn in
ahh im torn between these and the monster turbine pro copper. just looking for something balanced, okay maybe a little bass heavy but very little. have you tried the turbines, if so what would you recommend?
Either way works for me, although, straight down is more comfortable due to the little stabilizer fins, when I wear them over ear, the sharp-ish outer rear hurts my ears after a while
Dunu DN2000 is now my favorite hybrid along with T-peos h300
