Coolmate thanks for the review, but could u say which cans did u tried it with?

I have tried them on mostly low impedance headphones, like the Audeze EL-8C, Denon D5000, but also tried them with a Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro (250 Ohm version). They all sound good. I have ordered the following tube: http://www.thetubestore.com/Tubes/6922-E88CC-Tube-Types/JJ-E88CC-6922-Gold to try it out since it is compatible and I am interested to try it out.

I thought the rectifiers are in the wall wart power supply and the heatsinks for the output FETS conducting in class A mode generated the heat?

The input power is AC; the rectifier converts the AC to DC power which is required at the positive anode.

Also, I think you're talking about a Class A transistor or solid-state driven device while this is a tube amplifier with no op-amp.

I have this and it sounds beautiful, especially for the price. I also have the Ocean Model. listening through Fiio E17 Alpen out of my PC. Have listened through Beyer DT880 (250 ohm), T90 (250 ohm), and Senn HD600 (300 ohm) Drives them just fine. Also sounds wonderful with Havi Pro 1's.

Sounds even better in my opinion with the JJ E88CC Gold Pin Tube (~$25) - tube is much more quieter and refined than the EH6922.

@sarora Actually that is the tube I'm using, should have stated that.

So i have to ask, as a newb, how would this compare to an X3 Gen 2 or an E11 / E7 combo for an amp?
