Nice review mate! I have a beta version of the original B1 in the red/silver and mine has flush metal slider switches on it and I have replaced the crappy plastic knob on mine with a nice metal knob with great grip and a reference line up the side for position indication. I love mine and use it with my "brick" a Shanling M3 with the B1 and it is an impressive combo driving any ear or headphone in my collection effortlessly and with a very "soothing" and powerful sound signature. Only thing I don't like is the lack of a solid click when plugging into the B1 3.5mm sockets. Overall I agree with your assessment of the B1. Great piece of gear at a very reasonable price. How can i distinguish Original and 2016 Versions of this amp? Are there any differences on box, or smthwhr else?

nmathies, I got my hands on a prototype unit from the rep here in Australia that he kindly sold to me at a great "accomodation" and I have been very happy with it and use it often. Just could not stand that stupid volume knob so thats why I changed it.
