I have the CDM and absolutely love it....to the point of not really feeling the need to have a desktop amp. I started out single ended, but once I tried the balanced out have not pulled out my SE cable once. Just FYI-I think the CV5 is exactly what you spoke about; a smaller, no-DAC implementation of the CDM...anyway, thank you for your great review-its spot on and nicely done!
