Hd650 soundstage sucks so if the Heron opened it up thats a good thing. Based on what others say I'm surprised you didn't find it a boring combination. If that tour is long over I guess I missed my chance.

I really like the 650 soundstage. I haven't heard every headphone under the sun (even the most mainstream popular models) but I rather like it. As for the sound being boring oh no I loved the life it breathed into my cans, really makes me even more excited for Carolina CanFest 5 so I can hear other equally tiered products and listen to them with equally tiered headphones as well!
