Well how long does it typically take to convert from say 320 to 128?

I've had a few experiences with MusicMatch and hated every one more than the last. Surely there is another piece of software that is capable of doing this?

I have some MP3 files that I converted a long time ago and I was just wondering how I can convert them to a lower bitrate (and therefore smaller size). This is so that I can fit more on my flash player and keep the higher quality (larger size) for the iHP.. Thanks!

I finally got it working...

Yesterday I ran my DB update.. today when I plug in my iHP -- NOTHING! iHPDetect.exe is running in my process list, i reinstalled the software and reconnected the device.. nothing. I don't get any option in the right click menu for the drive... help! I want to update the DB! lol

My iHP-120 is on the way, so I don't have it yet... but from my understand the iHP has no clock feature, so the randomness is not very random...?

What is the "best" program that can find the ID3 tags for your song from a website? I've tried TagScanner and The Godfather. TagScanner has never been successful - giving me songs that are SO FAR off... The Godfather seems to have about 5% success rate! Any other, good programs? Oh yah...

Just thinking again... I could quite easily find myself wondering "hmm is the song I want part of the full album or is it a single?" What do you guys think of listing ALL the songs under the singles section, and for albums, use m3u playlists? iHP-120 recognizes up to 200, and I HIGHLY doubt...

I just downloaded MP3Gain today and it seems quite nice indeed! I haven't done extensive tests.. only about 5 files and set them all to 92db, then 98... they did get louder but I didn't notice any change in quality... Why not make all files 98db (or higher??), it seems to be "okay" to do!

Okay.. so the Zen basically does exact same thing as the iPod? Never completely turns off? Does the iHP-120 have a feature similar to this, where if i plan on turning it back on within (say.. the hour?) i can put it into a sleep mode instead of OFF?

I was talking to my friend today who owns the Creative Jukebox Zen (20gb). He said his starts up instantly, definitely within 2 seconds. Recent reading had be believe that all HD players do take time to start up (and this makes sense), which is about 10 seconds or so? This of course excludes...
