Gilmore Lite or Schitt Asgard
Quote: Yeah, I know that I may be going out of order but I am at the point that I don't really know where to go next in my price range. I have been considering a new audio card or a bridge of some sort (V-Link or USBridge). Just not sure which is the best option, I simply don't...- Drawnbychrist

Thanks you for pointing out that review, not sure how i missed it, I have been away for a bit. I agree about the source but at this point I need an amp. My Penguin Caffeine is being used as a desktop amp...I love it, but I need a real desktop amp! Keep the replies and votes coming!- Drawnbychrist

Gilmore Lite or Schitt Asgard
Im looking to buy one of these two amps. Has anyone compared the two? Are they even on the same level? I listen to alot of rock, metal, alternative, and some rap. I currently use HD580 with 600 grills and 650 cable. DAC will be a NuForce DAC2. Will also be getting Grado 225 soon aswell...- Drawnbychrist

Sennheiser PC 360 G4ME Review
I'm pretty positive these will have the same drivers as 555/595's. Same as the PC 350, but with and open design as opposed to a closed one. I'm waiting to hear a good review from a Head-fier on the music quailty before I take the plunge. So if anyone has these we would all love to hear your...- Drawnbychrist

Sennheiser PC 360 G4ME Review
I figured they would be in the $200+ range. I am interested to see them compared to the 555/595 for music. If you can compare them at all that would be awesome. I am waiting on some more reviews before I take the plunge. Congrats on the purchase BTW!- Drawnbychrist

::::Steggy's 2nd roundup review, featuring 10 Headsets and Headphones::::
Hi, Dont mean to hijack but...Looking at getting a pair of HD 595s from a friend locally and was wondering what options I have to make them work for console gaming. I have a jerry rig setup with Y-splitters that works for sound but chat is hard to hear. I know about the Astro mix-amp and the...- Drawnbychrist

My search for great thrash metal headphones
Hi, Kinda new to the Hi-Fi scene. Been lurking for a long while. I listen to alot of metal, mostly progressive, Dream Theater, Tool, Riverside, Symphony X, Stratovarious, etc. The most Hi-fi stuff I own is a pair of Audioengine A2's and a old pair of Shure e2c that no longer work. I'm looking to...- Drawnbychrist

The Audio-gd Compass (Was: Designing an alternative to the Zero DAC/amp)
I'm new but I will throw in my 2cents anyways. I would love a different option than the Zero. I think the Amp/DAC combo is good for a beginner. This is suppose to be a competitor with the Zero, not simply a better DAC, but with better QC and Customer Service. So for all those who are trying to...- Drawnbychrist

Amp for Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO
First the price range is in the $200 range, maybe a little more if there is an outstanding product above others. I think I want a SS to start with. If there are any DAC/Amp that fit in that price range then that would be cool. But if I get less amp with the DAC, I would rather do just an amp for...- Drawnbychrist

Amp for Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO
These are going to be my first cans. Looking for an amp that will go well with these with a Computer as my source. Mostly for gaming and music. I would like the amp to be compatible with other phones as well, will eventually get me a good pair of Grado's solely for music. Thanks in advance...- Drawnbychrist

Best overall 2.1 pc speakers
I am also looking for a set and I'm heavily considering CambridgeSoundworks Extreme 2.1, and they have just added another option that upgrades the satellites. Anyone heard the older version? Or listened to any of Cambridge theatre systems? I have heard the Klipsch and they do sound good, way...- Drawnbychrist

good 2.0 or 2.1 set
I see, it's nice to know the difference. I think though I would rather have speakers so they could be more versatile. As to the quality question, would passive speakers and a Amp provide better quality than multimedia, powered speakers? Any suggestions in either category are welcome.- Drawnbychrist
