The sennheiser ie8 has been been out for a very long time and since have been replaced by the new sennheiser ie80. So it shouldn't be a surprised for them to be at $180.   But at the same time, i would avoid that seller because it's not an authorized dealer and it is NOT sold by amazon.   ...

Just bought the fxt90s today from Futureshop. Comparing to the IE8 and MTPC the fxt90 has much better clarity, they actually make the mtpc sounded slightly muddy. However like mentioned by other owners, the treble is actually really fatiguing and sibilance is present. I just started burning them...

Well in canada, because of the boxing day sale, most people bought the MTPC from futureshop for $99 to flip a profit. So if they were bought from futureshop the chances of them being fake is kinda low. 

What a surprise, let us now hope that monster will focus on the turbine series... I wonder whose gonna produce those beats headphones, I'm kinda thinking Bose Beats.

They do look amazing, but it's unfortunate that what clockmaker said. Anything with the beats logo on it sounds horrible. I don't get how can a company who produces the turbine series could actually produce a beats series with such a crappy audio quality... I'd really hope they improve the sound...

The sound on the MTPC is actually pretty good, but yea the poor quality control is such a huge disadvantage. IMO I liked the earsonic sm3 a lot more than the westone 3. 

Are you talking about westone 3 or 4? Well when i demoed both the westone 3 and 4, I was having it at maybe 13% of the volume bar. But hey i think i have really sensitive hearing because I use my ie8 and MTPC at about the same level too. Everyone's ear listen to different volume differently.

my ie8 definitely have a ton more bass than the mtpc, so most probably you're having a bad seal. I find that getting a good seal with ie8 is hard, took me quite a while to find a tip that seals well but still not a perfect seal.
