portable DAC for iriver h120
Head Room Portable Amp (with DAC option). The best sounding little beast for the Iriver IMO (I tried iBasso D10, Go-Vibe Vulcan, Go-Vibe Vulcan VB also.)- gav17

Updated: HifiMAN HM-801 Portable Music Player Preorder
It must work without a card-reader. The HM-801 occupies 2 letters in Windows: the one for the internal memory and the second for the memory card installed in the player- gav17

S:flo2 impressions thread
I made a request to the author of this comparition, and that's what I got: "So, my comparison of Teclast+Shadow+UE11 vs. HM-801. Teclast achieves a small improvement because of an amp, but sound isn't perfect, though. What do we get with this bundle: instruments separation is better, but no...- gav17

S:flo2 impressions thread
There's such little comparition: Re: Teclast T51 (Nationite S:Flo2) - the DAP for audiophiles! (trasnlated from the Russian): "So, Teclast+Shadow+UE11 vs. HM-801. Hardly it became better, than without the amp, however not great anyway. Instrument separation (but to HM-801 it is still far)...- gav17

Good sounding 4-6gb players
Nationite s:Flo2 is the REALLY good sounding DAP but does not support gapless play. The AMP3 doesn't play so good as the s:Flo2 (IMO, AMP3 is #2 SQwise in DAPs listed above). Cowon D2+, S9, Sansa Fuse, Clip have VERY bad SQ, this is nothing to compete with the SQ of the s:Flo2 or AMP3...- gav17

Players with the Best Music Sound Quality PERIOD?
SQ-wise Nationite s:Flo2 (HO) > Korg MR1, Sony PCM-M10, Microtrack 2 (HO in all 3 cases). It has smooth tonal balance, very datailed sound and wide soundstage. Highly recommended p.s. LO of the s:Flo2 sounds identically to the LO of iBasso D10 to my ears. Very good sound for $130- gav17
