Best 7.1 gaming headset for PS3
Bit late, but in ascending order (cheapest to most expensive), I would recommend the following set-ups for the PS3: Astro A40 Wireless System (semi wireless really) http://www.astrogaming.co.uk/a40/wireless/a40-wireless-system-astro-edition Sennheiser PC360 + Astro Mixamp 5.8...- kaizr

Portable headgear - B&W p5 or better
How about the DT1350's. Are the T50P's considered better? I am looking at the following super-aural's for long haul flights: Beyer T50P Beyer DT1350 B&W P5 Bose QC3 Which of the above will be easiest to drive from an iPhone and push the volume to the loudest dB (when...- kaizr

Portable headgear - B&W p5 or better
Reviews for HD25-II's are really positive on Amazon and seem to fit the bill. Do the cups fold flat when wearing around the neck? I have a shortish neck and worried that the cups will stick into my chin if they don't fold flat when not listening to music. Main reason for getting...- kaizr

I need some portables for a long haul flight too. I will be using an unamped iPhone with mp3's ripped at 320kbps CBR Lame. Are there any on-ear phones that provide additional bass like IE8's or Beats Pro's (I have owned both)? Not an audiophile by any means so not looking for any...- kaizr

Looking for headphones w/ detachable cord
Anyone know of any on-ear or around ear bass heavy headphones for £100-£200 that I can use unamped with an iPhone for mainly portable use and that will take the Beats Solo Controltalk cable (for phone/mic functionality)? I was looking at Pioneer HDJ-500 and Ultrasone DJ1 Pro's but these...- kaizr

Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 vs Senn IE8
I have used both (although I had the vi version of the UE's) and returned them. Good sound from the TF10's (better mids than the IE8's) but the highs were too shrill for my liking and made my ears hurt after prolonged use. Also the cable broke (as most people's do). The IE8's are...- kaizr

Help Required: Upgrade from Senn IE8 - bass and portability required
I currently own Sennheiser IE8 in-ear headphones, and whilst I like the sound, I find myself wanting a more in-your-face thump, and I feel ready to move on from in-ear phones in general. I am not an audiophile by any means, and I admit I like a lot of bass (and not just when the original...- kaizr

looking to move up from IE8 to full size cans
I am also considering upgrading to full size cans from my IE8's. Although I love the signature sound and extra bass of the IE8's, I really want more pronounced full-on bass from bigger drivers. I haven't used full sized cans before, and I am after a set that I can use a mic...- kaizr

Null Audio to start making replacement cables with mic for IE8, SE535 and UM3X
I emailed Null Audio to see whether they make, or intend to make cables for Sennheiser IE8's with iPhone functionality, and this was their response: Hi Pete, Thank you so much for your email. Definitely what you mentioned are the products we will be working on in the next...- kaizr

Triple.fi 10's vs Senn IE8
IE8's with Sony EP-EX10A tips trounce the UE's. I owned the TF10vi's and although they were very capable in all areas (albeit slightly bright on the treble), I prefer the IE8's due to the excellent bass. To me TF10's = listening to your home sound system through speakers with the...- kaizr

The right earbuds to pleasure my ears
I have not used them, but you could try the non Pro Monster Turbines that are due for release with ControlTalk. Earphone Solutions have them for pre-order ($169). I had triple.fi10vi's for use with iphone and the cable developed a fault within first 2 months. I don't think I will bother...- kaizr

Sennheiser IE8 Impressions Thread
I have large ear canals (so it would seem), and when I had my last set of IE8's I didn't get on with any of the stock buds as they seem far too soft and didn't go deep enough into my ear canals. Will the Sony (EX700) replacement tips be better than the stock buds or do I need to perform one...- kaizr

Sennheiser IE8 Ear hooks.

Sennheiser IE8 Ear hooks.
I'm just about to purchase some IE8's; and after owning a set previously, one of the niggles I had before was the ear guides being a tad bulky/uncomfortable and the cable would always come away from the slots when in use. Is there a company that sells transparent/black guides that wrap-over...- kaizr

Good IEM's with smaller ear buds?
I have fairly large ear canals but tried out the Klipsch X10's which even with the largest tips, I couldn't find a seal. These will probably suit your needs as the actual phones are quite small too and sit comfortably slightly deeper in your ear (but very comfortably) than most other phones...- kaizr

Question about Triple.Fi 10 Build Quality
Bought my TF.10vi's mid Sept and yesterday the sound starts cutting out on the left phone (although I suspect the thin wirey cable is to blame). Needless to say, they are being sent back tomorrow for a refund and I will probably go back to IE8's where the build quality is flawless compared to...- kaizr
