Best metal / heavy metal headphones?
I think I'll get this: RS-1's (new): $650 RA-1's from audiogon: $200 Good looking CDP from ebay/audiogon: $400 Headphile Blackgold 0.5mm interconnects: $85 ~$1300 I really want the RS-1s because of their aggresiveness, I read that the MSP's are neutral, which is the reason I don't...- 3lite

Best metal / heavy metal headphones?
Ok I think I will get a new rig with CDP. My budget is around $1200-$1300. Should I get the RS-1 RA-1 combo and a used CDP like a NAD C521i from eBay? Do you think this is an overkill for metal music, iron dreamer?- 3lite

Best metal / heavy metal headphones?
I have 580s powered by a PiMeta at the moment, and they sound way too laid back & boring. What are some aggresive & good phones? Thanks!- 3lite

Audigy2 + good DAC = good sound?
Will an Audigy2 mess up my sounds if I use digital out to a high quality DAC or not? Because many of you reccomend a M-Audio card over an audigy2, if I get a setup like above wouldn't the audio signals/data come straight out of the Audigy without the audigy messeing with the signal? Then...- 3lite

What is easiest to drive? 580 VS 600
You could look into the for sale / trade forum here, and pick up a mint for $80 or so shipped, or get a very decent amp indeed for $150 , if someone really needs the money. I got a maxed out PiMeta for $150.- 3lite

Headphones \ Headsets for pc gaming and music
Do noy buy the new Sennheiser PC/Mic combos unless all you do is play CS, and even then they suck. Those headphones suck! If I compare them to cheap earbuds that my brother bought for $9.99 I would have to listen carefully to hear which is better. Listening to Metallica or Iron maiden is...- 3lite
