New Bass++ ports
Does anyone know how to get a pair of the new bass++ ports? The Sleek-Audio website only shows the bass tuning ports as a package, and doesn't say if the new bass ++ is included. And I wouldn't need/want the -, = and + ports anyways, only the ++ SoundEarPhones.com does not have them. I...- fuzzylogic76

Anyone know where I can find the post for making your own foam tips?
I don't know about the tutorial, but I have tried making my own with tubing from used Comply's and Shure's, and earplugs (two kinds - for construction, and for airplace travel). The construction kind seemed to have the same type material as the Shure yellow foams, maybe a little denser...- fuzzylogic76

IEM case gripe
I wear glasses so I have a bunch of eye glass cases, and they work really well. Hard shell case, spring loaded closure, large enough to fit a pair of iems plus extra ear tips, but slim enough to fit in my jacket pocket.- fuzzylogic76

I might cry. Finding headphones is too hard.
M-Audio Q40. Within your budget. Neutral slightly warm sounding. Durable. Not comfortable (clamps hard) if you have a large head, but you can bend the headband a bit and release the pressure. Somewhat underrated, but I feel it's one the best bang for your buck headphones.- fuzzylogic76

Need help: what is the right deep BASS in-ear phone among: Super.fi 5EB | Atrio M5 | Denon AH-C751
Atrios does use dynamic drivers. In fact it's Futuresonics proprietary dynamic driver. If you were not satisfied with the Atrio's bass, like toughnut said and I think what he meant was, you better stay away from IEMs and canalphones in general and stick to full size cans (and the Atrio's bass...- fuzzylogic76

Looking For new set of IEMs $150-250
Never heard the UM2, but I have the SA6 and M5. For bass, the M5 is amazing, better than the SA6. The M5 has a warmer sound that the SA6, not thatthe SA6 sound cold and analytical. The SA6 are definitely warm for balanced armature phones. But if you want slightly more clarity and detail and...- fuzzylogic76

Sleek SA6
For trace/electronic/d&b I think the Atrio tops the SA6 (especially for d&b). They have some of the best low frequency extension I've heard. Sometimes I feel like I have full size cans on. After some burn-in they are very controlled, never bloaty, and don't blanket other frequencies. Since the...- fuzzylogic76

Sleek SA6
I have recently purchased the Atrio M5, on top of owning the SA6 for a few weeks or so already. Durability wise, I think the Atrio is slightly ahead only because it has less moving parts. (mind you I've had both phones for less than a month, so only time will tell) The chrome cover on my...- fuzzylogic76

Ear cleaning procedure for long lasting canalphone seal
Ear wax is actually every important. It's slightly acidic so it prevents the growth of bacteria. This is especially important for us IEM wearer since we insert the tips pretty deep. You need a bit of ear wax so you don't get ear infections.- fuzzylogic76

Yeah the olives are a tight fit because of the flare on the treble tubes. Glad you're getting better bass response.- fuzzylogic76

M-Audio Q40 are another set of cans you should check out. Fairly balanced and neutral with good bottom end extension. Slight treble roll off but still detailed and good for long studio sessions.- fuzzylogic76

Need a good Set of earphones With Lots of bass!
Atrio M5 is a great choice. Some of the best low frequency extension I've heard in an IEM, but it's not muddy and doesn't blanket other frequencies. They do need a good period of burn-in to achieve a more balanced sound, as the bass is a bit bloaty and uncontrolled right out of the box.- fuzzylogic76

Been seeing the Sony MDR-V700DJ DJ in studo vids.
Yup, owner of the 700DJ here...they are definitely not for studio use. Good for DJ'ing in clubs and such, but not for hi-fidelity listening. I pretty much have always known they were not that good, but it wasn't until I got my M-Audio Q40's that I realized how bad the Sony's were. You should...- fuzzylogic76

Big Ears?
Hey Bob, I'm kind of in between a medium and large. The medium flanges fit well but do not give me as much isolation as the large ones (therefore not as good a bass response). The large ones are a tight fit though, and I'm finding I can't wear them for too long. Only the first flange sits in my...- fuzzylogic76

M-Audio Q40s, Denon D2000s, BD DT 770 Pro or something else?
The Q40's are large full sized cans where as the ES7 are smaller and more portable. In terms on SQ, the Q40 is more balanced and better bass extension and control. I found the ES7 to have slightly exaggerated mids.- fuzzylogic76

crazy carrying case
Yup, once you change the ear tips to either the large size or any foam tips, it becomes useless. I hope they will provide a redesigned case some time in the future. In the mean time I'm using an eyeglass case, it allows me to carry the phones and a few extra foam tips.- fuzzylogic76

How do you guys figure the cables are thin? Compared to full size cans or custom cables, yes they're thinner. But compared to other earbuds and canalphones they are thicker than average.- fuzzylogic76
