Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)
I just ordered an EagleTac D25a Mini. I was going to get the click interface version, but after reading some comments and comparing the two, I think the simpler twisty control scheme will be better for my typical needs. That said, the titanium clicky version looks pretty nice.- EmptyTalk

HP COMPAQ 6730s laptop battery problem
I am the HP laptop bad battery expert today. I am on my FOURTH aftermarket replacement battery, which I am charging overnight to see if it will work. I have an old HP nx9420, and the original battery is totally dead. I bought and returned three "new" batteries so far, and none of them worked...- EmptyTalk

You said that the Lamy doesn't compare to the Sailor. Do you mean that in the context of how it writes? That's really all that matters to me at this point. I don't want to spend extra money on looks, finish, limited edition status, or a fancy filling mechanism.- EmptyTalk

The white keys DO get dirty brown after only a few days, even though I keep my hands clean and keep my desk super clean at all times. In fact, I think I'm over the "white keys are cool" phase.- EmptyTalk

I've been buying and trying pens like they are going out of style or something, as described here. After trying a cheap Platinum Preppy for awhile, I stepped up to a Lamy Vista. It should be arriving any day now. Can't wait to try it.- EmptyTalk

Portable Closed (not an IEM) recommendation
I did a search for this already, but most of the threads I found are old. I'm looking for more current advice. I'm looking for a closed portable headphone (not an IEM) for use while commuting, at the library, etc. I am specifically looking for this: closed with decent isolation; good for...- EmptyTalk

IEM recommendation - what are the current favorites?
Just got them yesterday and will try to burn them in a bit. They definitely LOOK great (I got the blue ones). Wearing them cord down with or without the shirt clip results in about the same amount of microphonics that I experience with the Atrios, so whatever. Around the ear with the cord...- EmptyTalk

IEM recommendation - what are the current favorites?
Thanks again everyone. I'm blindly basing my decision on the mega-IEM comparison thread, and have decided to try the MEElectronics M21 after all. They are available on Amazon, which means easy returns if they are "defective". For $20.00, it's an inexpensive trial regardless of the results...- EmptyTalk

IEM recommendation - what are the current favorites?
Thanks all for the recommendations. ^ Regarding over the ear, the Atrios don't seem to fit properly that way (I removed the memory wire from mine), and to be honest it's more of a hassle putting the IEMs in place over the ear. I don't understand how this eliminates microphonics. Are you...- EmptyTalk

IEM recommendation - what are the current favorites?
Although I've been a member for awhile, it's unusual for me to actually post anything related to headphones these days, because I've been very content and satisfied with my gear. That said, I'm looking for some reasonably priced (around $70.00 budget) IEMs that satisfy the following criteria...- EmptyTalk

^ The V11R is simply awesome. A lot smaller than I thought it would be. Great fit and finish, and it looks like a mini light sabre, which scores high with the kids.
