Just updated to the latest firmware to 1.08. Significant improvement of sound quality across all environments. Highly suggest all owners to try.

As I said, same sound signature is the same.    For Classical, I don't hear any difference.   But for Pop, Rock,etc. Mk2 is a bit more better to handle "complicated songs".   Thanks!

I bought mine in Hong Kong from authorized dealer. And I do believe that MkII fixed all the issues. Keep my fingers crossed.

Got my T8iE Mk2 for 3 days. It has same sound signature of T8iE, with a bit sound refinement especially playing Pop and R&B.

Yes! left ear-piece is the problematic side! Till now, I don't think AK and Beyerdynamic are brave enough to tell the truth. Not fair to the customers.... What we can do is just keep on sending it back for repair/exchange a new one; next ending...

You are absolutely right! I have exchange my T8iE 3 times... And I'm not sure my 2 pairs of T8iE are trouble free or not, and AK has no idea about which batch (serial numbers) has the connection issue. They have no plan to recall the T8iE, and waiting for us to bring it back with this kind of...

Very disappointed about no call back for existing customers. Extemely upset about AK and Beyderdynamic, for sure they are not a high-end audio brands.

With my experience, it should be the design/hardware fault of the unit, not the stock cable.

Fully understand all your flustration. Now, I take extremely care of my T8iE.... I think AK/Beyerdynaic should provide solution to T8iE customers... AND not keep silent...

Mine... also 3 times, both left and right. For sure it is a design fault/quality of the connector... We have to handle it with extra care... OMG!

AK380 sounds magical. But, the battery is still not good playing Hi-def music files, max. 5-6 hours, and the device is hot (playing DSF files)... not warm.
