Closed Heaphone Recommendations
Currently, I own a pair of Sennheiser PX100 headphone, which I love, but being open they give off way too much sound at work, so I am looking for a new pair of closed headphones that would be used without an amp. I am willing to spend a couple of hundred of them. Recommendations and...- Agent69

Sony Walkman NWZ-X1000 (UK out NOW, US version out mid-June)
This player looks real nice, but if it doesn't support gapless playback, it will be useless to me. Hopefully, it will support it.- Agent69

That's nice Dougboy. My wife just bought one of those too. Although I am happy with my Touch, I have to admit that the 4th Gen Nano is very nice and in a way, I kind of wish I had bought one.- Agent69

iPod Nano Vs iPod Classic
Thanks for all the responses. I think that, for now, I will stay with my 8GB Nano and see what happens later in the year with the iPod models. Thanks again to all.- Agent69

iPod Nano Vs iPod Classic
Thanks for the feedback. Doing some searching, most people seem to notice the biggest lag when using Coverflow, but since I don't embed cover art and don't use Coverflow, it sounds like I would have a good experience. Thanks.- Agent69

Zune 8 Doesn't Play MP3 Gaplessly
My files are definitely fine. Foobar plays them gaplessly. iTunes and iPod play them gaplessly. I'll try reloading the firmware.- Agent69

iPod Nano Vs iPod Classic
As I sit here, trying to decide what music to leave off of my 8GB iPod Nano, I find myself wondering if it might not have been better to pick up an iPod Classic instead. My main concern about buying a hard drive based iPod is that I have heard that the interface can be pokey on them...- Agent69

Zune 8 Doesn't Play MP3 Gaplessly
I went to my local Apple Store and bought an iPod Nano (green of course) and now my tracks play fine. Vranswer: what format are using using for your audio files and if they are MP3, how are you creating them.- Agent69

Zune 8 Doesn't Play MP3 Gaplessly
I'm glad to hear that it is working for you IdiotekniQues. It most be something odd that is causing it to happen because some people have the problem while others don't. Maybe using a lower average bitrate would fix the problem? I'll give that a try.- Agent69

Zune 8 Doesn't Play MP3 Gaplessly
I'm using 3.97, the version recommended by Hydrogenaudio. And like I said, I tried both VBR and CBR MP3 files and still had a gap. However, these files play fine on Foobar2K and my wife's iPod Nano. Personally, I will be buying an iPod this week. The only other player I like are the new Sony...- Agent69

Zune 8 Doesn't Play MP3 Gaplessly
One of the reasons the Zune 8 was a purchase option for me is that it now supports gapless playback with version 2.5 of its software/firmware. So I bought one and have been very happy with it until two days ago, when I finally got around to listening to a concert album and discovered that my...- Agent69

MP-3 users, don't you regret going into "audiphile" relams ?
I'm lucky that I can't tell the difference between high quality encoded MP3s and source. But I do save my EAC ripped .wav files so that I can convert them into any other formats I might need in the future.- Agent69

Heck, I didn't even know the SR-71 wasn't being made since it is still on Ray's site and listing a sale price. If it really isn't currently available, Ray needs to note that on his website.- Agent69
