Thanks for the feedback. Doing some searching, most people seem to notice the biggest lag when using Coverflow, but since I don't embed cover art and don't use Coverflow, it sounds like I would have a good experience. Thanks.

My files are definitely fine. Foobar plays them gaplessly. iTunes and iPod play them gaplessly. I'll try reloading the firmware.

As I sit here, trying to decide what music to leave off of my 8GB iPod Nano, I find myself wondering if it might not have been better to pick up an iPod Classic instead. My main concern about buying a hard drive based iPod is that I have heard that the interface can be pokey on them...

I'm glad to hear that it is working for you IdiotekniQues. It most be something odd that is causing it to happen because some people have the problem while others don't. Maybe using a lower average bitrate would fix the problem? I'll give that a try.

I'm lucky that I can't tell the difference between high quality encoded MP3s and source. But I do save my EAC ripped .wav files so that I can convert them into any other formats I might need in the future.
