    New Monoprice Premium Headphones - #10243, #10244, #10245, #10246

There was no model update. I think that the headphones I had didn't work properly.

    New Monoprice Premium Headphones - #10243, #10244, #10245, #10246

I purchased the 10246 a few weeks ago and had some trouble with them (see previous post). The most important issue I had was sound. The bass was boomy and over bearing. Mids and Highs were not very good. Because of some other problems with BT connection and charging, I sent them back for a...

    Bluetooth stereo headset

I have the Plantronics Backbeat GO 2 and they are excellent! They are comfortable and actually stay in if you insert them properly (i.e., lift the ear when inserting). Sound is great, bass is deep and clear, mids and highs are well represented. Battery life is VERY short. They advertise 4.5 hrs...

    New Monoprice Premium Headphones - #10243, #10244, #10245, #10246

Are there any other owners of their bluetooth headphones (10246)? If so, could you please post your impressions?   Thanks. Brad.

    New Monoprice Premium Headphones - #10243, #10244, #10245, #10246

I purchased the 10246 BT headphones a week or so ago. What I read in this thread indicated that the quality of the audio was excellent for a BT headphone. My experience has not been as positive. First of all, if you connect it via a cable, you still need to have it powered on. I also don't...

Philips Uptown, little bass and distortion

I have the Uptowns and listen to them mostly with my iMac and iTunes. They have plenty of bass for me. I think they do a pretty good job of isolating, are very comfortable (especially with glasses) and cover the spectrum of music nicely.   Brad.

Does anyone have the Philips CitiScape Downtown's?

I'm also curious about any comfort issues with glasses. I can't use my SR80s because of the way the press my glasses into my head.   Thanks. Brad.

Philips Citiscape Downtown - first opinion

I read a review on Cnet that said they cause your ears to sweat after a relatively short period of time. Can you comment on that?

    Yuin PK1-PK2 impressions thread

I suspect that when you put the foam cover on, it seals better and sound changes. I haven't enjoyed any earbud that didn't have a foam cover on it.

Are the Klipsch Image S4's truly big bang for it's value?

I have them and agree with Watagump. They sound ok at best, lack clarity, bass is boomy. They do fit good (for me) and they are comfortable. They also do a fair job of isolation. For the money, there are better choices, such as Shure SE215.

Has anybody heard of SKECH headphones?

They are bluetooth and I found them at a kiosk at the Mall. They sounded pretty good at the mall, but I can return them if necessary.   Brad.

    Blackberry charger for Sanza clip+

It depends on which BB. The older ones use the mini USB.

What to get: Clip+ vs. Fuze vs. Fuze+

I have used a friend's Fuze+. It is horrible. The user interface is different and is NOT intuitive. With a microSD card, performence is unacceptable. Sound quality is fine, but everything else is really bad. I also have a Fuze, Clip, and Clip+. If Line Out is indeed a requirement, the Fuze works...

New Shure SE215 - First Impressions

Thanks for your inputs. I didn't want to get the cables and then only be able to use my SE212s on an iPhone. Brad.

New Shure SE215 - First Impressions

I have a question about the iPhone/iPod cable for the SE215. Will it work to play music from a non-iPhone/iPod? I know that the controls won't work nor will them microphone, but can you listen to, say, a Sansa Clip with the cable installed?   Thanks. Brad.

Grado SR80 or? I can get them on big discount

I have a pair and rarely use them. The swiveling of the drivers is just very annoying. Plus, I wear glasses and they get very uncomfortable.

    CD Players

I play CDs all the time, but mostly via DVD players attached to a home theater system. I do have a portable CD player and I use it occasionally. I also play CDs in the car all the time. MP3 players are great as portable units, but I have mostly MP3 files, so, "real" CDs still sound the best.

    Replacing Shure e4: SE215 or Westone 2?

I am not as analytical as others. I think the SE215 has very good sound at all levels. Bass is good for all music styles. Mids and highs come out nicely as well. It is what is often termed a fun IEM. If you are most interesed in choosing SE215 or Westone 2, then it is down to cost. They both do...

    Replacing Shure e4: SE215 or Westone 2?

I have both the SE215 and UM2 (not westone 2)  and like them both. The UM2 is my favorite, but it cost quite a bit more then the SE215. The UM2 is just better all around (IMHO), fits better, doesn't have the memory wire, and has worked flawlessly for me for many years. I have never had cable...

    Sweat-proofing PortaPro cushions

One possible option is to use KSC-75s instead. They sound very similary to the portapro and since they are clip ons, they can be adjusted to not fit as tight, hence, the sweat may drain off rather than get soaked up. Just a thought.   Brad.
