I just got home and unboxed. The quality of the materials is just like my old HD650's. My first impressions is that the bass is heavenly so far.

So the 58x is a more fun HD 650 with a little bit more bass is the general consensus here? I had the HD 650's years ago but sold it since I found the headphone a little bit boring.

I just hope that they beef up their servers for the next HD6XX drop.  They already have 9457 requests.  The demand for the HD6XX definitely surpassed all their other headphone collaborations.

I have the official Cowon leather case coming from Korea. I already installed the plastic screen protector on the Plenue D but have a tempered glass screen protector on the way from China. I will update when I receive both.

  I just bought a brown one on ebay.  It ships from Korea so it might take a while to arrive but it was $33.90 and I had some ebay gift cards lying around.  I was stuck between the Cowon case and the Noreve one but decided on the Cowon one thanks to your pics.  Fitment looks great.

Thanks to you, I found some tempered glass screen protectors that might fit the Plenue D. The size is 68.5mm X1 48.5mm which is about right for the Plenue D. I'm going to order it and try it out...

I just received the Plenue D and was shocked at how small it is. It's half the size of my Fiio X1. Like others have said, this form factor is perfect for commuting.

If you think the Plenue D is overpriced, you must really hate on Astell & Kern DAPs.

Unknown Wolfson DAC. I just wish Cowon would just plainly list the DAC in their specs like the rest of their line up. Either way, I'm seeing price drops now on eBay and Amazon so that is a good sign for those on the fence.

Isn't it nuts that no one can figure out what DAC is in the Plenue D? Anyway, I ordered it since I love the form factor and the touch screen. Time to sell the X1.

I just got a 2nd chance offer to buy a new Plenue D that I didn't win earlier in an eBay auction for $224 shipped. Is the Plenue D a worthwhile upgrade from the Fiio X1 I currently own? I'm using VE Monk+ earbuds and Easy M2 IEM's.
