It makes a difference, but sometimes it's what you want. My K701 sounds great out of my NAD 220 ohms output jack, while it sounds too lean out of my 0.05 ohms headphone amp.

No full volume. The headphone jack on my HTR is probably run by an opamp unable to drive higher impedance.   An HTR-xx90 should be a better amp. If you get the same problem, you could try an headphone tap on speaker B.   No doubt it would do the trick.
