My701's have done 150hours. Best burn-in solution - buy the BEST amp you can get. They will sound better IMMEDIATELY with a good amp, and will improve MORE instantly with a better and than a good amp. Hope this helps

Hi Minivan. I think source is fine. I think for the tight bass i'm after Rotel is very 'digital' and 'detailed' sounding. Just classic tubes vs ss i think! Totally an amp thing, not to say i won't upgrade my source eventually.
