My Alessandro Music Series One Cans Came

Just like to report that the head-phones are sounding better and better to me as I listen to my soundtrack, but they're still uncomfortable. They put a pain in my upper-back part of my neck, which is a weird place for head-phones to put pain. I also get it in the area right above my ears, and...

My Alessandro Music Series One Cans Came

Well, I turned my volume on WinAmp up from 30% to 70%. I had been using 70% on my other head-phones too. I just turned it low before plugging these in, because I didn't know how loud they'd be. They sounded better with the higher volume. I can hear instruments better now. Also, I listened to a...

My Alessandro Music Series One Cans Came

I recieved my MSOne's in the mail today. I was stupid and forgot to order them with the mini-plug adaptor, so I went to RadioShack and picked up a gold plated one for $5. I'll have to say that they actually don't sound much different from my $15 Sony MDR-301's. The bass is a lot better...

What was your first headphone purchase after coming to Head-Fi?

My first purchase after spending a few days at this forum were the Allesandro Music One Series cans. I'm still waitin' for 'em to get here. Before that I used cheap $5 head-phones, so I have yet to hear the sound of high quality cans.

    I Need New Head-Phones...

I bought the Alessandro MSOne's, as they're supposed to be like the Grado SR-80's/125's, but a little better (more flat?). Hopefully I'll enjoy them. I'm sure I will.

    I Need New Head-Phones...

Well, it's surely down to the SR-80's vs the HD-280 Pro's. I'm leaning toward the SR-80's. They're supposed to have better sound, and supposedly they're more comfortable than the HD-280's even though they're not very comfortable head-phones overall. I don't think I'll mind the uncortableness(?)...

    I Need New Head-Phones...

Sadly, I don't know of any store around here that sells high quality head-phones that I could test out. It'd be great if there were some I knew of. There's probably one in a mall somewhere perhaps, or somewhere where I've never been too. And also, maybe I wouldn't care about comfort too much...

    I Need New Head-Phones...

Even if the Grado SR-80's sound better than the Sennheiser HD-280's, they're not going to be much more comfortable from what I've heard. I wear head-phones for up to 5 or 6 hours at a time without removing them, listening to music all the time. After reading around on this forum, it seems...

    I Need New Head-Phones...

Yes, I am sure I will be heavily impressed with whatever head-phones I eventually decide to buy. As I mentioned, I was even impressed by the MDR-301's, as they were my first set of head-phones that had some sort of bass feel to them, and it also could have been that it was the first time I used...

    I Need New Head-Phones...

Perhaps I will get the HD-280 Pro's then. The Sennheiser site has them listed as being $200, so the PC Mall's price of $69.99 even with the heavy $17 shipping is still a really good deal (bringing it to $87.15). Still, I'd like to know if there's any other site that I could order them from...

    I Need New Head-Phones...

According to the Guitar Center site, there isn't one in Hawaii. Also, the HD280Pro's are $99.99 at PC Mall, and only have a 3' cord so I'd have to buy an extension for about $5. And nobody has said anything about the SR-80's yet. The only negative thing that I see for them is their extremely...

    I Need New Head-Phones...

As I mentioned, I looked at the PortaPros but they come with a 4' cord which isn't long enough for my use. Unless I put my PC case on my desk next to my monitor (which isn't really possible), I won't be able to use them. Also, the KSC-35's I had also heard of, and I just looked at them and they...

    I Need New Head-Phones...

I'm looking to buy some new head-phones in a price range of $0-$100. I will be using them to play video games, and listen to a lot of music on my computer. Recently I was using Sony MDR-301 head-phones, which are the most expensive (at a whopping $15, I think) and best sounding...
