A lot of the old cds from the 80s and early 90s have the "The music on this compact disc was originally recorded on analog equipment..." text somewhere on the back or the inside. Of course, in some cases the original issues are worse than the remasters due to poor source tapes or whatever...

I will be very pleased if this lives up to its claim of being more like early, psychedelic Pumpkins. I am very concerned, however, that the "limited" aspect is going to translate into "prohibitively expensive."

Has anyone solved the hiss yet? I just finished a glassjar kit and have some soft hiss going on. It is there with or without tubes in. Any ideas where to start looking to fix this?

I recently finished The World Ends With You (DS). It was the most fun I've had playing a game in some time. With the exception of certain voice samples that got old really fast (*zetta slow*), I have nothing negative to say about it. 9/10

The only smart playlist I've ever used is a random by album one for my ipod. I dont have enough music in my library (yet) for them to be really useful.

I figured out that it has to be something with my SOHA amp, since even with the DAC and RCA cables disconnected the radio can still be heard when the amp is powered on. Is this more likely to be a grounding issue or a loose joint or something else entirely?

I have an alien DAC that I am running on usb from a macbook. I just read on headwize about clip-on ferrite noise filters, do you think using one of those would work? Or is it definitely something with the solder joints?
