How to shop for CDs the audiophile way?
A lot of the old cds from the 80s and early 90s have the "The music on this compact disc was originally recorded on analog equipment..." text somewhere on the back or the inside. Of course, in some cases the original issues are worse than the remasters due to poor source tapes or whatever...- Computer Blue

Smashing Pumpkins' new 44-song album available track-by-track for free (the first song - "A Song For A Son" - is out)
I will be very pleased if this lives up to its claim of being more like early, psychedelic Pumpkins. I am very concerned, however, that the "limited" aspect is going to translate into "prohibitively expensive."- Computer Blue

AT&T and Skullcandy team up...oh boy...
I don't think skullcandy is tricking anyone. I doubt anyone is buying them because they expect to hear audiophile sound out of them, probably more because they look "cooler" than whatever else is on the shelf.- Computer Blue

Rate the video games you're currently playing
I recently finished The World Ends With You (DS). It was the most fun I've had playing a game in some time. With the exception of certain voice samples that got old really fast (*zetta slow*), I have nothing negative to say about it. 9/10- Computer Blue

The lowest (regular) gasoline prices that you've ever seen in the USA? - What are the gasoline prices in your area now?
As soon as taking a bus or biking becomes a viable option in most of the US, you Europeans can have all the whining rights you want. Until then I think we win :P- Computer Blue

SOHA Getting interference from radio station
the SOHA is in a wooden case, with the tube air wired above the PCB so that it sits on the top of the case. also in the case are a pair of JISBOS buffers, wired according to the alternate scheme on the JISBOS info site. Is there a diagram or guide somewhere to properly grounding the SOHA? It's...- Computer Blue

SOHA Getting interference from radio station
I figured out that it has to be something with my SOHA amp, since even with the DAC and RCA cables disconnected the radio can still be heard when the amp is powered on. Is this more likely to be a grounding issue or a loose joint or something else entirely?- Computer Blue

SOHA Getting interference from radio station
I have an alien DAC that I am running on usb from a macbook. I just read on headwize about clip-on ferrite noise filters, do you think using one of those would work? Or is it definitely something with the solder joints?- Computer Blue

SOHA Getting interference from radio station
The past few days I've been getting interference on my computer set-up, which I believe is coming from the local college radio station. I can clearly hear music being played. Moving my headphone's cable seems to alleviate the interference slightly, but I can't shut it out completely. Is there...- Computer Blue
