I caved and ordered another, blue this time Fingers crossed the wheel is better than the last one I had (grey) Having said that, there seems to be long term issues with the wheel anyhow- dimmockg

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player
I returned my ap80 due to a wobbly volume wheel - just didn't really have the confidence in it lasting a long time, even sent Hidizs a video who seemed to think the wobble was acceptable. Anyway, I miss the DAP and am considering another, I'd be ordering from Amazon UK and wondered if there was...- dimmockg

The New HIBY R3 II is here. 4.4MM Jack; Improved Sound and Bluetooth.
Just returned my hidizs ap80 due to wobbly volume wheel, tempted to give the r3 another go. From a software point of view the r3 looks like its pretty much where it needs to be? Especially with the custom FW Should I get a cheaper r3, the newer repro??- dimmockg

Thanks for the tip as well as the link previously to page of tips, I'll be sure to go through them in detail I'll stick with MP3 tag unless i run into problems but gained my experience with MP3 tag as a result of other daps which weren't as tag friendly- dimmockg

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player
Just unravelled this little box of tricks Build quality seems really good, love the size of the dap (had an m1 and an m0 before). No scanning issues of my 128gb SD card - however I am pretty meticulous with my tagging and art. Plugged in moondrop kxxs and hit play, sounds like a pretty good...- dimmockg

Think I'm going to order one of these from Amazon UK, trouble is, not sure which colour to order. Which is the most recently released colour out of Black, Grey, Red, Blue or Purple? Thinking to get the most recently released colour and any (if there were) production QC issues would have been...- dimmockg

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player
Thanks for the info, watched some videos on YT and it looks like a nice little player, just seen there's a pro version soon as well. If gapless doesn't work as it should then that is a deal breaker for me, a lot of my music (mixed DJ albums) are recorded or ripped without gaps, so this would...- dimmockg
