I don’t know that they’re disputing what you are hearing. I think, more so, they are stating that whatever differences you are, in fact, picking up on are for reasons other than codec type.

Adaptive is a better all around codec. LDAC is older and less nimble. Not really sure what the issue is. Not to mention, LDAC wouldn’t change anything with regard to sound on the IO-12. They would sound exactly the same.

Honestly I don’t notice any difference and the headband doesn’t really move on me. They sound great to me no matter where the headband is. Maybe try using a silicone headband cover to help keep it in place?
