I power on the Mojo with USB always connected when using with PC and never had any white noise issues so far. I think the issue is also depended on the source (meaning PC). Most likely the USB connection drops momentarily and then causes some issues. I think it was posted about in this thread.

Yeh exactly, you're right here. It's probably more correct that the instruments don't become like this "sound effects" which is exactly what it feels like sometimes. I always have a feeling that the crossfeed only makes the soundstage even more intimate as it kindof centers the image. I already feel that the Mojo soundstage is not that wide, so I only use it for old music with the severe channel imbalance.

Not at the moment, but had a chance to listen some time ago. If my memory serves well it was very easy to drive due to very low impedance. I am thinking on buying it again. And much lighter. Might get one/go for another listen soon. Theres one in classifieds for a good price.

Fair, however I hear absolutely no noise at all from the USB-C PC source.. it's perfectly black, maybe due to the high quality usb cable or good PC components. I am maybe not that noise susceptible also. But I will say I noticed the Mojo2 to be a bit better sounding when I ran it off batteries...

Yeah good points @TheR0v3r, as I been saying, the DAC is very nice and I prefer it to many more expensive ones, however the soundstage and punch could be better - this is where for me an added amp helps as some of them had the effect of increased soundstage. Also by doing many equipment testing...

One thing I am unsure about is how the onboard soundcard handles the optical out. If its a pure line out, or it adds something to it? Also I figure you are then using your onboard soundcard drivers to handle apps, such as Tidal etc. loosing benefits of Chord's exclusive modes and ASIO drivers...

Does somebody use this amp in a desktop setup? Does it have any way to handle the battery if one would run it constantly on external power?

Yes, Tsu is insanely expensive, but so is Enleum hpa-23rm, maybe even best choice for Mojo due to fully unbalanced design that both have. Kobo 475 seems to be a good price option.

It probably depends of the amp synergy as well. When I was testing PA10 with it, didn't like it either vs direct. Loss of detail. However add a sick amp like Tsuranagi, Enleum or mass kobo and behold :)

People will have different opinions here, there is no point to argue about it. It's not all in the stats, or is it? Many owners of Anni will tell you they are extremely power hungry, and similar to Storm scale with high power headroom, which makes them sing.. many will say not, whatever one...

I think Hugo2 is bigger. But yeah I really enjoyed the sound of the CMA18p, it instantly gave me a wider soundstage feeling, more accurate crisp vocals in the mid range, the treble is also smooth and not harsh, and the the drums were really hard hitting, probably due to the amazing punch this...

Unfortunately not :( this is why I didn't buy it. I am unsure why they didn't include it, probably because its meant for purely portable and it would give their desktop solutions a fair run otherwise- its rlly rlly good.

Honestly I haven't found an amp in such a price range to improve the Mojo2 to that level. Obviously Mojo2 on its own at the price range is pretty unbeatable. But to elevate it a little bit and do so cheap. I tried AK PA10 for example which isnt that bad, and it wasnt better. More powerful yeah...

Well, once you got a very nicely tuned headphones you don't need the dsp :) But I agree its a nice thing to have for various headphones. The problem of Mojo is that it doesn't punch well, theres a little recess in the mid, the soundstage leaves a lot to be desired, and the clarity while good...
