Westone W60 vs Shure SE846?
Yup, but the build quality is complete junk, one thing or another will break on you within 12 months of ownership. No doubt that fitting 6 well tuned drivers in a such a small and comfortable enclosure was a great accomplishment for Westone, but the w60 (and it's smaller siblings) is not a...- JAG87

Westone W60 Impressions Thread
I had the wiring fail on the right monitor of my set (maybe related to the MMCX), so I had them reshelled into customs by InEarz and have never looked back. Will never purchase a UIEM again, especially one from Westone. Completely crap build quality.- JAG87

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
You don't need to worry about anything except output impedance. Choose an amp that has the lowest output impedance you can find, the higher the output impedance the worse BA iems will sound. All other values are practically irrelevant, roxannes (and pretty much all BA iems) are extremely...- JAG87

Custom IEM iin canada ?
You have practically close to no options to get them shelled in Canada. You can try hearsmartsolutions.com, seems they are based in BC, but I can't find anybody who has any experience with them. Personally, I would send them to InEarz in Florida. There is plenty of evidence that they do a damn...- JAG87

GTA Fall meet November 15, 2015
Great meet! I had a great time and it was awesome to see both new and familiar faces again, even though I am terrible with names hehe. My quick take aways: Dat subpack.... I wish I still had time to play first person shooters. Bah The Sony Z7s sounded promising out of Nick's CD + Fiio...- JAG87

Toronto / GTA Fall meet. November 15
Down, will bring Westone W60 and JH roxanne custom, if people with compatible ears want to try squeezing them in, don't need much space or power. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces :)- JAG87

Lost one of my jh 16 iems. Now what?
There are lots of high end CIEMs you are missing lol, but this hobby is never ending, you gotta narrow it down to whatever product has that killer feature that is important to you. With regards to Layla, I believe iirc that the max is a +13dB, so I would say yea it should mimic the 16s...- JAG87

Lost one of my jh 16 iems. Now what?
Yup, I saw it coming after the first time I found one of my monitor in my pants. The 2-pin is shi-te if it becomes lose fitting, and it does with time. So I took extra precaution until I upgraded to the Roxanne. If you have unlimited funds then anything goes, but understand that there are...- JAG87

Lost one of my jh 16 iems. Now what?
Well, that plain sucks. I have discussed previously how the 2-pin connector has this huge flaw, and I have often found my monitor down my shirt in the winter time. Luckily it doesn't happen to many people. MMCX seems more resilient to this, but the collared plug of the Siren series is pretty...- JAG87

JH Audio Angie Impressions and Discussion Thread
Holy cow, are those the HF drivers crammed all the way into the lobe? That is significantly different from my Roxannes, there is nowhere near as much of a difference between the length of the mid and high tube. Also, do my eyes deceive me or does the steel not go all the way to the drivers...- JAG87

JH10x3 vs JH13
iPhone 6 and 320K MP3 is plenty to highlight the differences between them. Get the 13, they are significantly better than the 10x3. If you consider this to be a long term investment, get the Angie. The quad high drivers offer a significant improvement in HF response over the 13s, and the...- JAG87

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
I have some experience with bad cables. My first cable started cutting out on the left side, and it turned out to be a poor connection somewhere between the jack and the bass pots. Somewhere along that line, if the cable flexed a certain way, I would lose the highs in the left monitor. This...- JAG87

Westone W60 Impressions Thread
The last piece in the audio chain will always make the most difference. Don't waste money on cables, amps, or sources, unless you already have the best possible IEM (subjectively of course, TOTL model is not necessarily everyone's cup of tea) and are still willing to throw money to...- JAG87

JH Audio Layla and Angie - Head-Fi TV
Not really, that's not how it works at all. Hermes won't lower their $20K bag because LV came out with one that is just as good for $2K. There are plenty of people that will still buy the Hermes bag because of the status it gives them. And sadly it works pretty much the same way in the...- JAG87

Westone W60 Impressions Thread
Apples and oranges really, even price wise. But I would take the W60 in a heart beat. IMO the W60/Roxanne are only bested by the LCD-X (I'm not really a fan of the LCD-3), and sound quality only because ergonomically, it is disgusting. Can't comment on that because unfortunately...- JAG87

Westone W60 Impressions Thread
For me, the W60's bass can be described as a guilty pleasure. You wouldn't dare have more or it would start to taint the rest of the spectrum. And while less would probably be technically more correct, you would start to miss it. Dare I say, for not being user adjustable in any way, Westone...- JAG87

Westone W60 Impressions Thread
Thumbs up my friend. Isn't it amazing that W60 produces that sound from that small, plasticky, cheap-feeling enclosure? I'm still baffled when I look at them. It's clear to me that the Roxanne has better response at extremely high frequencies, that's where the "air" and sound stage...- JAG87
