Must be a combination of cable and HP becouse my HD800S have a 3m 4.4mm balanced and the 17S Pro runs same temp as yours. Tops out at 58c after 4-5H on 100ma high gain.- Minimyna

Got my amp now, very happy with it so far. It sounds so much more natural/life like than my Loxjie D40 Pro alone. No kidding about thickness of the sound, i even dropped the bass in my EQ by 2db to match (for my HD800S HPs). The D40 Pro alone sounds pretty thin in my opinion so its a good match...- Minimyna

In EU the S17 Pro is €699 vs €1,459.00 for the Black MJ3. I felt it was too much for me, got other hobbies too. Anyway i will receive my 17S Pro today. Yay! My DAC seems to output 4.1Vrms on XLR so i guess i can let it put out full volume to the S17 Pro? Never used XLR before or had a stack. Got...- Minimyna

Anyone know when the new Aune Dac will be released? I got a Loxjie D40 Pro to use as a DAC for the S17 Pro but a matching high quality Aune DAC would be a awesome.- Minimyna

I preperation for my S17 i took some parts i had at home to make a cooler. Its an 200mm Noctua fan, all metal standoffs with heavy duty dampeners. It feels very sturdy, will hold the weight no problem but i will do some tests with weights anyway. Not very good looking thought :P If it works...- Minimyna

I will probably pull the trigger on an S17 Pro. I will buy it from a reputable local shop, its little more expensive but for peace of mind its worth it for me. Now to the question, anyone using this amp with HD800S with the 3M OG balanced cable? Want to know if there is any issues with noise...- Minimyna

Could be a business idea! Build custom cooling solutions for S17 with built in temperature probe so it holds steady 65c all the time haha :D- Minimyna

Sennheiser HD800 S Impressions Thread (read first post for summary)
Both Clampforce/Comfort and Soundsignature are very individual and almost equally important i think. For me, most headphones hurt my head after half an hour to an hour becouse of the clampforce so it does not matter how good they sound but with the HD800S i can listen for hours without feeling...- Minimyna

Accurate Sound convolution filters
Sounds intriguing but $150 for a software filter seems a bit excessive. For $50 i might have tried it.- Minimyna

Interestning. I did not think 5v would generate enough airflow but thats good temps. I might have been overthinking this. Was ready to buy a "high end" Noctua 200mm fan, power-filter and silicon antivibration-feet :P- Minimyna

Anyone know if the EU stock also is updated with new controller firmware? Btw, a tip if you are going to use a 12v PC fan with a cheap (non-usb) wall adapter. Install a power-filter between them. The electrical noise from the adapter will make the fan sound worse than its supposed to. I noticed...- Minimyna
