What is worth attention - Myer Audio SLIIVO SLT6 - for those who endears almost monitor-like neutrality full of a lot details and at the same time with musicality for different music styles.

    Night Oblivion Butastur thread

Nice mini-review, thank you. I have to admit despite the excellent timbre and rather neutral tonality Butastur isn't all-purpose IEM. Jazz, fusion, classical music sound very good, but heavy styles need other tuning. I have to note also more powerfull and more advanced source can bring much...

The AUX cable looks stiff, so longer is better.

My first filter for new IEM - transparency, second - resolution, third - tonal tuning. Then I need good dynamics and details.

I'd like to recommend SLIIVO SLT6. It's very detailed with excellent resolution (for the price). SLT6 can be slightly warm or cold - depends on a source. At the same time the sound is very coherent, quite deep bass as for all-BA IEM, without extra brightness, with good extension for treble.

With darker sound: Sound Rhyme SR7 (during sale) Shozy B2 More neutral: Sound Rhyme SR5 Brighter neutral: Juziar 41T UPD Using IEMs of this level without a DAC is a waste of money

When I'm getting pleasure with listening to music often I'm trying to understand, what is a cause, why so and what would be better. That's a critical listening I guess. In other time I just get pleasure from music and don't care about technicalities. These are two types of listening. Some styles...

They are great! It’s a pity that their wealth of experience is useless to me.

My ears and brain tell to me about technicalities, not Precog or Resolve )) Frankly I don't know exactly who they are, just some reviewers may be - I don't care.

I think IEM level is determined by technicalities: resolution, separation (air), details, transients. Can Trio deliver these parameters? I doubt it. Is there any pleasure in listening to the Trio? Probably there is. So mid-fi level can be absorbed by those who need better experience of critical...

I'm totally agree. Excellent sound for the price. Now after burning-in and with Penon Totem adapter SLT6 sounds without extra brightness, more warm and very coherently.

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!

How can you be ensured that sound difference is due to metal purity and not other parts of cable?

    The discovery thread!

Totally agreed. Just one note. If we take opposites light <-> dark, cold <-> warm, then the first describes frequency characteristic (tonality) and the second describes saturation with harmonics (timbre).

Copper purity isn't too important instead advanced Litz structure and smallest thread diameter give much improvement. Also different alloy types can differ a sounding. For copper they're OFC, OCC, UPOCC.

Who knows.. It's AliX. My personal limit per cable - $200 MSRP and much less during sales. I make expensive purchases almost only in good known stores: CEMA, IvipQ, XINHS

In fact silver is bright and sparkly only in cheaper cables. Silver gives more clarity and transparency, with silver there is less bass, but the sound may be darker like GuCraftsman 6N silver cable and at the same time the sound very smooth.

All my IEMs got more mature sounding with H7. Even FH7 got a meat on the bone.
