Fitness headphones; in ear with ear hooks

I am looking for a headphone to replace my plantronic BBFIT that is dry rotting after 10 years of love. My only complaints with these phones are that the mic doesn’t noise cancel wind when on a bike ride when I need to take a call, and that they don’t have aptX support. AptX is not a deal...

On-ear (not over the ear!) wireless headphone recommendations

I have Plantronics Backbeat Sense headphones that are getting long in the tooth. They are pretty comfortable and sound decent, but the leather ear cups are starting to deteriorate. Looking at new replacement options. I have HD600 for serious listening, and those are my standard for sound...

    Guitar-fi anyone?

Haha, would love for Paul Reed Smith himself to see what v2 of this neck is living on as!

    Piano-Fi

I did have a Behringer Poly-D, and though I love the 70s analog prog sounds, didn't vibe with playing it. Ended up replacing it with a Roland System8 which I like a lot more for getting closer to the Roland Jupiter8 sound.

    Piano-Fi

I have a Nord Electro 5d and really enjoy it. Primarily a guitarist, but I've been learning piano on my own. The organ sim is unreal, and the pianos sound really good. Rhodes sounds leave a little to be desired, but given being on piano most of the time, and the quality of the keybed, it's a...

What’s your favorite 2ch speaker pair currently?

I have some Wharfedale Denton 80th anniversary bookshelfs that are quite incredible for low end given their size.

    Official Progressive Metal Thread (Metal/Djent/instrumental/jazz/fusion)

I have worn out Haken's 1984. Love that synth intro. Such a good band overall. I didn't get as into Virus, though...

the BEST male vocals (your favorite male singers)

Something about Alan Parsons Project is so nostalgic. Eye in the Sky just gives me flashbacks about getting a ride to the mall.

    Bicycle-Fi!

The wear on the drivetrain for this thing must be insane, though…perpendicular forces and not much heart dissipation.

    Balance Board at the Office

I used to stand at my desk in the office and walk around while on calls all the time. Now with being on video 100% of meetings, it has plopped me squarely in front of my chair the last few years to stay in frame. I’ve now realized I miss walking around and talking. Maybe a balance board is a...

    New Member Introductions thread

New here. Trying to get some opinions on wireless headphones to replace some Plantronic BBSENSE that are getting old which I use for casual listening and traveling. I have HD600 that I love for more critical listening. Looking for high quality *on-ear*, not over the ear. Seems most people are...

    Prog rock

Finally sucked up the price to buy the BluRay copy of Porcupine Tree’s C/C in Atmos. Looking forward to that mix…been a while since I’ve put the other PT surround sound mixes on and excited to see what SW can do with height speakers. He seems to be pretty into the promise of Atmos as a...

Who do you think is an underrated guitarist?

Im a big Rush fan and a guitarist and I still dont care for Alex’s playing too much. I think the thing that helped me come to terms with it to a degree was someone pointing out that his guitar solos were more soundscape crafting than a conventional melody for a guitar solo. Alex’s riff writing...

Who do you think is an underrated guitarist?

Buck Dharma from Blue Oyster Cult always seemed under appreciated in guitar circles. Vito from White Lion also never got the praise. Almost a forgotten about 80s guitarist, when his playing was simply on fire and more complex than what Dokken, Poison, and Motley Crue were doing at the time.
