ZMF Auteur Thread
The black cloth/filter behind the external grill detached a little from the grill on one of my Auteur cups. Is the cloth glued to the grill? Is there an easy way to put it back in place without tearing down the entire headphone? Thanks!- alias71

Mytek Brooklyn Thread
Thanks. I found the "problem". Not really a problem but a feature. They increased the time you need to press the button to go/exit from standby, probably to avoid accidental presses. It was better if they mentioned it in the release notes. But anyway, I think it is a good feature.- alias71

Mytek Brooklyn Thread
I just installed the latest Brooklyn DAC+ firmware (v.128 - 2020-04-29) and now it cannot enter/exit into/from standby with the remote as it was able to do before. Anyone with the same problem? Thanks!- alias71

The New HIBY R3 II is here. 4.4MM Jack; Improved Sound and Bluetooth.
On Tidal -> My Collection, albums, artists and tracks are sorted in "Date Added" order, making very difficult to find an item when you have 20+ of them. Is it possible sort them in alphabetical order? This is allowed in the official Tidal application.- alias71

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
Just received the Hiby R3 Pro. It has the 1.0 firmware. I am trying to update it via OTA but I always get this message: "Firmware update check failed". Is this a common problem? Wi-Fi works OK: I was able to upload few albums via the "Import Music via Wi-Fi". Thanks!- alias71

Earbuds Round-Up
I received my Smabat ST-10 replacement few days ago. Jim at NiceHCK provided an excellent support and took care of all the expenses. Everything works very well now. They fixed the problem with the cable and the MMCX connectors. I moved the connector around a lot while listening to check if I...- alias71

Earbuds Round-Up
Bingo! I compared with a magnifying glass the distance between the two center contact's halves in the defective and the good earphone MMCX connectors and, in fact, the two halves in the defective one are noticeably more distant than in the good one. On the positive side I got a message from Jim...- alias71

Earbuds Round-Up
Thanks for the help! I hear a satisfying "click" when I push the cable connector and, from outside, it does not look loose at all when I move the cable connector left and right. Does it mean it is a problem with the center contact in the earbud mmcx female socket? To "fix" the problem I move...- alias71

Earbuds Round-Up
In my case it happens with the stock cable and other cables To verify if it was a problem with the stock cable or the earbud, I switched the earbuds: right earbud on the left connector and left earbud on the right connector and found the same problem with right earbud. Then I tried the Svara L...- alias71

Interesting... Also the Smabat ST-10 I received 3 days ago has a loose MMCX connector on the right earbud with sound that cuts off at any movement of the cable. Sound is OK though. Patricia Barber (my favorite female Jazz singer) has a nice and natural voice.- alias71

DIY Earbuds
I broke the cable of my beloved mx 980 :(. Not sure how it happened, I was just storing them in a case like I have done for hundreds of times in the past. Is it possible to repair it or maybe I should re-cable them with a more durable cable? Is there anyone that can do it in US for a reasonable...- alias71

The New HIBY R3 II is here. 4.4MM Jack; Improved Sound and Bluetooth.
Thanks. This looks very interesting. Did you try it with the R3? I found that the Shozy BK is available in the normal edition (3.5mm TRS) and the balanced edition (2.5mm TRRS). Do you think the R3 has enough power for the Shozy BK normal edition (3.5mm TRS)?- alias71

I'm looking for a high-end earbud to pair with the R3. Zen 2.0 seems too hard to drive with the R3, maybe the balanced version? What do you recommend? Price below $200. Thanks!- alias71
