Don't manufacturers mark all their IEM shells for tracking?

I'm not, I genuinely wondered if there was something about this that I didn't know. But by your response, I understand there's indeed nothing about it.

I remember hearing similar things when the Penon Impact came out, like it's a Baby Trailli and whatnot. Now it's nowhere to be found; Is this one better than the Impact? Also, why can't Penon spend a penny more and print the IEM names in anything other than that basic text font. (Or not!)

I wonder why they're positioning it like this. Top to bottom that's a UM product from the casing to the design to the box that reads 'Unique Melody'. By the way I've also noticed they don't list their limited runs such as the UM Max on their website. And the AP+N30LE was a limited run too..

I have the Yatono OG 2-pin with the Trailli and I don't get any energetic treble at least with that variant. Just the usual Brise house sound goodness.

@UniqueMelody What's your flagship IEM- the AP or the new Mason twins? If both (all three?) are, what's the difference in their sound signatures?

I'll be listening to some 3k+ IEMs soon, but to me the Mentor sounded way better than the 2500 dollar Volur and not very behind the 6600 dollar Trailli.

I've had a few days with the Multiverse Mentor now, and with some cable and tip rolling, here are my quick impressions: In one word, these are outstanding! There is almost nothing I can fault about their sound signature. In a way, these sound like a warmer Trailli with a little more overall...

U12t is still a very good one-IEM-only option under 2k. It does all genres really well. Volur excels at bass and and has cleaner, less warm vocals, which I prefer. But it doesn't match the u12t at dynamics, imaging, upper midrange, and lower treble. I would buy the Volur as my second IEM, not...
