I was really impressed with the Quiet Sea when I got it, so I've been following their stuff since, and I ended up getting the Star City 5 pro, and I really like it a lot. Also ended up ordering the Starlight from their website, which I don't think is listed anywhere yet, but it's a cheap bullet...- Ceilidh

I got a ZS10 Pro 2, mostly to replace a pair of ZS10 pro X that got crushed under a crate when helping a friend move :p I didn't want to give KZ another chance with their latest stunts, but I liked the ZS10 pro X, and I didn't want to spend more than $40, so I thought I'd give them another...- Ceilidh

the driver is apparently a 13mm "super linear planar driver", but the design diagram calls it an "annular planar driver" so it looks like it's a pseudo-planar- Ceilidh

Portable tube amp from china?
worth noting, considering the GAD ADV, that it got a nice little update: now it has a -10db switch, which makes it easier to use. Definitely a fun little amp, good for the price. It's my first tube amp and my usual gear is also used for producing, so it is as clinical and neutral as possible...- Ceilidh

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
I'd say yes, you should contact them. Mine arrived a few days ago and it's battery was nearly full on arrival, and I've been able to charge it using either a USB power bank or a dedicated USB charger, with no issues whatsoever.- Ceilidh

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
I'm currently looking for a budget dap, since my Sony NWA-105 is getting a bit long in the tooth and feels seriously underpowered sometimes, and this one looks interesting. Now if only the sellers I found on AX weren't charging way too much for shipping, that'd be great!- Ceilidh

to be honest, as a producer, I'd be a lot more interested in such a device than in a CD player, as cassette player produce an imperfect and saturated sound which can gives interesting results on some tracks, but also as a producer, I already own a bunch of VSTs that does the same thing for me :D...- Ceilidh

and it wasn't even on their projected release schedule. It might just be a FF3 with detachable cable, but that would be enough for me to get it.- Ceilidh

has some people already mentioned, it's not a "real" planar, but otherwise, if you like that kind of tuning, it is pretty good: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/kinera-celest-pandamon.26255/reviews- Ceilidh

7Hz Impressions & Discussion
oh yeah, I got them because I wanted a fun set to listen to some specific tracks, and for that, it's great, I'm just curious about how 7hz would go with another tuning, and if it could be another fun one for other kinds of tracks :D- Ceilidh

That looks really nice! I bought the original version during the latest sales. Not too interested in buying a new pair just for the looks, but I might be interested if it's retuned.- Ceilidh

Reply to review by 'Ceilidh' on item 'FiiO FT3'
Ok! Thank you for your explanation. For some weird reason I thought that for jacks, you needed 3 poles for each plugs going into each side of the headphones to be balanced. While reading your explanation I just realised I was being dumb, since MMCX or 2 pin cables only have two poles too, on...- Ceilidh

I'm a few months late on this one, but I'm currently looking for a good open back with relatively high impedance for my studio, and this one's one the list. Am I actually correct in assuming that the cable it comes with isn't balanced, since the plugs that go into the headphones themselves have...- Ceilidh

it apparently has a socket for a IEM made for it, I guess we'll see more soon. The official website upgraded the product page with a few more details, but it is barebones, compared to the 5K page right now.- Ceilidh

ha that's interesting. Stax trying their hands at an electrostatic IEM, I guess. That's their brand after all, and the connector looks like it's meant to be used with their Energizer units- Ceilidh

defintely this, I've only used it with a balanced cable and either using a Fiio KA5 set to hi gain or a Venture Electronics Megatron and it does sound good through those, but it sure is awfully hungry- Ceilidh

Reply to review by 'Ceilidh' on item 'Reecho SG-03s'
I bought them after reading your review, and it's been a bit of an adventure! First shop I ordered it from, despite claiming they had it in stock, ended up not having it and had no idea when it would be available again. So I tried to get it from Penon, but I had the same issue (but were very...- Ceilidh

I got the exact same answer from another shop I ordered the Reecho SG-03s from, a few months back, so I'm pretty sure it's some kind of generic answer provided by AliX, and it sure is lacking.- Ceilidh

That's interesting! I'm currently on the fence about buying a 7hz Legato, as I'm looking for something that is bassy with a good analogue feel. Have you had the chance to compare the SIE and the Legato ? I get that the Legato might be a bith more niche, regarding its tuning, so if the SIE has...- Ceilidh
